Some Pics

On Saturday, I met Krista in Madrid. Unfortunantly the metro station we planned on meeting at had 3 entrances! So I wandered around for a bit before I found her. While I wandered I took this pic of the sun setting on the city.
Being to cool touristy-types that we are, Krista and I went for a ride on the Teleferico. It's a like a gaundola/cable car ride thing that gives you an amazing view of the city. We went at sun down and it was beautiful. My camera doesn't like to take pictures at night. So I'll have to steal some of Krista's pics at some point. But for now, here is one of me looking oh so thrilled to be in the Teleferico.
I got one semi quality shot while on the Teleferico. This is a Spanish sunset. Neat right?
Krista and I had time to kill while we waited for Jenny and her couchsurfing friends. We found a bench in Plaza del Sol and did some people watching. It's a pretty happenin spot and the lighting on the buildins is way cool.

Yesterday Krista and I wen to the Plaza del Torros. This is the stadium where the big bull fights are in the summer. The building is pretty impressive.

The entire structure is brick and there is tile work all over.

Here I am at the stadium. It's big.

The stadium would have been a lot cooler if there weren't a ton of circus trucks all over the place.

Qwest stadium doesn't hold a candle to this super impressive building.

I'm not sure if I am going to go see a bull fight this summer or not, but at least now I know where the stadium is. If it weren't for the whole cruelty to animals thing, I would be all over it. We'll have to see what happens this summer.
Krista and I have spent several afternoons seeing some very cool parts of Madrid. Sadly, my tourist buddy is done with her stay here as an au pair. I am going to have to find someone else to help me occupy my days. Luckily couchsurfing has helped me meet a lot of really cool people.
I'm doing pretty good. I'm starting to get used to NOT being busy. Having a lot of time on my hands is a very new experience for me. But I think I'm starting to get the hang out it.
