Well it's 9:57pm on New Year's Eve and since there isn't anything going on I think I'll reflect on the year 2009. I'm going to focus on best things that happened each month.
January
- I started attending All Saints' Church regularly.
- I started Kickboxing regularly.
- Mexi-Monday became a weekly tradition. Friends came over, I made Mexican food, we watched Heroes, and played Rock Band.
February
- I began working as a personal trainer.
- I moved into an awesome apartment in Magnolia.
March
- I began coaching the Pole Vault at my old high school.
- I made the apartment a home with the help of Craigslist.
April
- I worked a lot! I subbed, coached, and personal trained.
May
- I traveled to Notre Dame and had a blast! Then I got to drive back. Wyoming was beautiful.
- I got to have lunch with my cousin and his wife. I hadn't seen him in TEN years!
June
- I had several job interviews. Even though I didn't get the jobs, the opportunity to try was pretty great.
- I hosted a ladies wine night.
- I went to Woodland Park Zoo with my Dad and the whole Martin clan.
July
- I went to Seaside, OR for a long weekend.
- I chaperoned an overnight trip for middle and high schoolers to the Ape Caves (near Mt. Rainier). So much fun!
- We got HARVARD!!
August
- Harvard began puppy classes and did well.
- I saw Kenny Chesney and Alice & Chains.
- I began working as assistant athletic director at the girls' school again.
September
- I was hired as Adventure & Wellness Instructor at the girls' school!
- I hiked Rattle Snake Ridge. It was so much fun.
October
- I finished up coaching another great Cross Country season.
November
- I went to El Salvador on a mission with my church!
December
- I successfully completed a 9-day cleanse. (Apparently I have self control after all!)
- Harvard and I spent a full week maxing and relaxing at my mom's in Eastern Washington for Christmas.
- I got a much needed new hair style. Pictures to come soon... sooner or later. =)
So those were some of the good things that happened this year. There were other good things too. There were some bad things, too. But for now I'll just keep thinking about the good things.
2009 was good... but I'm hoping that 2010 is better.
